A German national who fell into difficulties while bathing in the sea off the Serene Beach Hotel, Medilla, Tangalle died after being rescued and admitted to the Tangalle Hospital on November 10.
He was identified as Dambith Volfgen (55).
Tangalle Police are investigating.
