Twins equal at Scholarship Exam

Sihali Sithumya and Maheli Nethumya of Galle Olcott Maha Vidyalaya are twins. As proof to their inborn uniqueness since their early childhood, they had displayed similar aptitudes in all their performances and achievements.

Sithumya and Nethumya both showed similar skills and talents in all educational and other extra activities.

They always played together. They learnt together in the same class of the same school. They prepared for the Grade Five Scholarship Examination together and scored the same aggregate of 177 marks to be qualified in the examination.

Their father K.M.H.Ranjith Kumara is employed as a Development Officer at the Hikkaduwa Divisional Secretariat and mother is Sujeewa Manohari De Silva. They live in Mahamodara, Galle.

The much ecstatic parents talked with much enthusiasm over their daughters’ achievements at the Grade five Scholarship Examination. Since their childhood Saheli and Sithumaya did everything together. They both are equally talented in swimming and drawing. They often obtain similar achievements in educational activities.They went for tuition classes together and got similar marks at the examination, for which their parents expressed much delight. The excited twin sisters are extremely pleased with their academic achievement, saying that they are ever grateful to their school principal, Primary Section Head Keerthi Sampath and class teacher Kusum for their guidance in obtaining higher results at the examination.

We participated in private tuition classes following guidance of our parents. We never watched TV programmes as we have no television at our home. We are happy over our results, they further said.
