The term of the Presidential Commission appointed to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC) was extended today by two months, in effect from September 3.
Previously the term of the PRECIFAC was extended by six months, in effect from March 2 this year.
The PRECIFAC was introduced by President Maithripala Sirisena in 2015.
