Several development projects were launched at Pookkulam of Wannathavillu Divisional Secretariat Division last Sunday by Irrigation State Minister Palitha Range Bandara.
Eleven new houses constructed for needy families were handed over. Land permit were also issued for the families. The main road to Pookkulam village was also developed under the rural infrastructure development scheme of the State Policies and Economic Affairs Ministry.
It was opened by State Minister Range Bandara.The distribution of dry food rations among drought-hit families of the village was also held. The families received dry food ration packs from the State Minister.
Former chairman of Wannathivillu Pradeshiya Sabha Douglas Indika Senadeera, Wanathivillu Divisional Secretary and others participated.
