Two petitions seeking to restore former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Chairmanship, were rejected at the Colombo District Court a short while ago.
The former President handed over the SLFP Chairmanship to President Maithripala Sirisena after being defeated at the Presidential campaign in January, 2015.
