A group of officers from the Auditor General’s Department is due to pay an inspection visit to areas affected by the Uma Oya Multi Purpose Development Project, today.
Auditor General Gamini Wijesinghe said that the officers will also visit the project construction site.
The group of officers have already begun observations on issues surfaced by the Uma Oya Project, on ways in which the original plan of the project had changed during the course of construction and whether any shortcomings had occurred when signing the deal, the Auditor General said.
He said that the group of officers will inspect areas in respect to the above mentioned matters.
