Colombo, Kotahena Sri Sri Radhakrishna Temple celebrates Sri Krishna Jayanthi Vizha today, August 15 and there will be Poojas, Bhajans and Devotional Cultural Programmes.
Krishna Jayanthi is celebrated to mark the incarnation of Lord Krishna. This is the most important festival to the Hindu, Vaisnava devotees all over the world.
On Krishna Jayanthi day, there will be Mangala Arati, Thulasi pooja, Nagara Sankirtan and a procession of Baby Krishna, Abishekam, Rajabhoga Arati, Sandhya Arati, Cultural progrmmes, Bhajan and Kirtan from 5.30 in the morning to Midnight, and from Midnight, Maha Abishekam – Bathing Lord Krishna with Holy Waters, followed by Arati and distribution of Prasadm to devotees will be conducted.
The devotees of Lord Krishna all over the world celebrate the Divine appearance of Lord Srikrishna.
