A man died after being struck by a car plying on Kurunegala, Kandy road near Mawathagama last night.
He was rushed to Mawathagama Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police said that the driver fled from the scene but later surrendered to the Katugasthota Police station
The deceased has not yet been identified.
The body is lying at the Mawathagama Hospitals’ morgue
