The Colombo Grand Mosque has announced that Eid al-Adha or the Hajj festival this year would be celebrated on September 2 as the crescent for Dhul Haj was not sighted.
“Therefore, Dhul Qa’da will complete 30 days,” Grand Mosque souces further explained.
