The Eastern University has been closed indefinitely following a tense situation, Deputy Vice Chancellor Karunakaran said.
The University council has ordered the students to leave the premises by 12.00 noon tomorrow and students in hostels have been asked to vacate their rooms and handover the keys to respective Warden.
On August 8 students of the Eastern University surrounded the university Senate House and held it’s Vice Chancellor captive.
