The second phase of the public awareness programme on dengue eradication will be telecast through all electronic media networks today (15) from 10.00 am-12.00 pm.
The programme would speak of ways to keep schools, offices and their surrounding environments clean and how to curb the spread of dengue in these places.
The programme launched by the Ministry of Finance and Mass Media and the Department of Government Information has worked together with all media institutions, telecom companies, and the Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine to coordinate the programme.
The first phase was launched on July 12, 2017 from 9-11.00 am and messages on dengue eradication were telecast over the electronic media making people aware of how they could keep their homes and surrounding environments free of dengue. The Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation and other electronic media telecast the messages in Sinhala while the Independent Television Network telecast it in Tamil.
