Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, addressing a press conference in Colombo today, said the agreement on the Hambantota Port would be signed tomorrow (29), despite Parliament being adjourned on account of unrest caused by the Joint Opposition (JO).
Parliament was adjourned till August 4 this morning after the JO protested the Gazette declaring petroleum distribution an essential service.
The Hambantota Port agreement with China was scheduled for debate today and to be signed tomorrow but was delayed following unrest in Parliament.
