The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday informed court that they are awaiting a report from the Government Analyst’s Department on photographs similar to the suspect who had been following rugby player Wasim Thajudeen’s vehicle before his murder.
The CID told the Colombo Additional Magistrate Jeyaram Trotsky that after investigating on news highlighted in the media and from information received from the public, photographs similar to the suspect who followed Thajudeen’s vehicle near a supermarket at Havelock town, have been sent to the Government Analyst’s Department for further investigations.
The CID informed that several photographs have been sent to the Government Analyst’s Department but a report has not been received yet from them.
The CID said that further investigations in the case are underway.
