Abeysinghe wins silver at Commonwealth Youth Games

Kyle Abeysinghe won the highest rank ever achieved by a Sri Lankan swimmer at the Commonwealth Youth Games at the 100-meter freestyle competition held in Betty Kelly-Kenning National Swim Complex, Bahamas.

He completed the race in 50.93 seconds, winning the silver medal yesterday.

The gold medal was won by Scottish swimmer Scott Alex, completing the race in 50.64 seconds and the bronze medal was won by Singaporean swimmer Jonathan Tan who completed the race in 5.10 seconds.
