Spanish Ambassador to Sri Lanka Jose Ramon Baranano Fernandez said he would take action to encourage Spanish businessmen to invest in Sri Lanka.
The Ambassador said so when he met Foreign Affairs Minister Ravi Karunanayake at the latter's ministry on Thursday. Ambassador Fernandez said Sri Lanka has become a tourism destination for Spanish visitors.
He pledged to help Sri Lanka develop the country’s tourism sector. He said Spain has well recognised the foreign policy of Sri Lanka. It has helped strengthen diplomatic ties between Spain and Sri Lanka, the Ambassador said.
