A man was knocked down by a van travelling at high speed on High Level road near Sujatha Vidyalaya in Delkada.
He had been pronounced dead upon admission to the Colombo South Teaching Hospital, Mirihana police said.
The van driver was granted two personal bails worth Rs 200,000 each and another bail of Rs 5000 after he was produced at the Gangodawila Magistrate’s Court.
