The Joint Postal Trade Union Front said that a token strike will be launched by Postal workers today from midnight.
The protest will be carried out till June 14.
Union media spokesperson Chinthaka Bandara said that a demonstration will also be staged in front of the Colombo Central Mail Exchange today at midnight.
They will protest against converting the Nuwara-Eliya, Kandy and Galle post offices to tourism offices, not commencing work in the Head Office in Colombo, not activating and reforming the service constitution and several other management issues.
The media spokesperson said that the strike will continue if necessary steps are not taken by June 26 midnight.
