Iranian aid convoy sent to flood-stricken Sri Lanka

Iran’s humanitarian aid was dispatched to flood-stricken areas in Sri Lanka in cooperation with Iran’s mission here. Iran’s aid cargo has been sent to Matara and Gangaramaya Temple, the Iranian Embassy announced on Saturday.

Over 200 people were killed and 94 others went missing in Sri Lanka last week following a mudslide caused by territorial rains.

More than 100,000 were also displaced after the worst rains in Sri Lanka since 2003.
