Media coordinator of Wildlife Department S. Sarathchandra said that the Department of Wildlife has taken immediate steps to respond to the crocodile threat in flood stricken areas.
Sarathchandra said that additional staff has been deployed to Udawalwa and Bundala sanctuaries to set up emergency teams to tackle the problem.
Further, he requests the public to contact the Wildlife Department in emergencies.
