Four route permits issued by the North Western Province Passenger Transport Authority have been misplaced.
They had been kept in a store belonging to the the authority.
Provincial Transport Authority sources said a special investigation is being carried out by the provincial audit department into the incident.
The route permits bearing the numbers 9413, 9414, 9458 and 9459 have got misplaced.
