Kalutara train accident::
Kalutara Acting Magistrate Y.S.de Silva 82, who was critically injured when his car crashed into a train at the Nagashandiya railway crossing, Kalutara succumbed to his injuries on Thursday.
One of the most senior attorneys at the unofficial Bar of Kalutara, de Silva celebrated 50-years as a lawyer only a few months ago.He was an old boy of Devapathiraja College, Ratgama.
The senior attorney was an active member of the Kalutara Bar Association and was its President in 2002 and 2003.
He also served in the tutorial staff of Ananda College, Colombo prior to commencing his law practice.His remains lie at his residence 356,Galle Road, Panadura.The last rites will be performed at the Wadduwa cemetery today at 4.00 p.m.
