Woman dies after being hit by a train

A woman died after being hit by a train at Watareka today.

It has been reported that the victim was trying to cross the railway tracks at about 6 am.

The deceased is a resident of Padukka and is aged 56.

Her body is lying at the Homagama Hospital.
