National Freedom Front (NFF) Leader Wimal Weerawansa’s wife, Shashi Weerawansa’s National Identity Card (NIC) and the passport, confiscated by the Colombo Magistrate Courts has gone missing today.
The Deputy Solicitor ordered the Colombo Chief Magistrate to conduct investigations on the matter immediately.
Shashi Weerawansa was arrested on February 2015 for accusations on fraudulently obtaining two passports - including a diplomatic passport - by submitting forged documents to the Department of Immigration and Emigration.
