A father who was found guilty of sexually abusing his daughter from the age of five to fifteen was sentenced to 45-year rigorous imprisonment today.
The accused was further ordered to pay a Rs.300,000 restitution fine to the victim and Court observed that the accused will have to serve additional six-year jail term in the event of defaulting the payments.
The High Court Judge maintained that the prosecution has proved accusers’ guilty beyond reasonable doubt for three counts and further imposed a fine Rs. 30,000 on the accused.
It has been revealed that the father and mother of the victim had been employed at government institutions.
