A Police constable was arrested for breaking his T-56 firearm in two.
The Police constable had reportedly broken his firearm in two in fury at being assigned gate-duty for not polishing his shoes.
He was arrested for causing damage to state property.
The Balapitiya Magistrate remanded the police constable till May 17.
