The Colombo Crimes Division yesterday arrested another in connection with the attack on prison bus carrying remand prisoners to the Kaduwela Magistrate's Court from the Kalutara Prison at Ethanamadala.
The suspect known as ‘Ala Bole’ was arrested based on the information received by the officials during investigations. Police sources said that this suspect has provided accommodation to the underworld gangsters involved in the attack on the prison bus which claimed seven lives including that of two prisons officials.
He was arrested on the charge of aiding and abetting the murder. Police said that the suspect,a resident of Kamburugamuwa was arrested at Ratmalana.Police said that he possessed two mobile phones in his possession at the time of arrest.
He was to be produced before the Kalutara Magistrate yesterday evening.
